If you think your pet might benefit from acupuncture treatment I would ask you to contact me; we can discuss whether acupuncture would be appropriate; I can e-mail you a referral form which I ask your vet to sign and send to me with your pet's medical history. I want to work with your vet's consent and cooperation and will always refer back to conventional treatment if acupuncture is not appropriate or your pet is not benefiting at all after a course of sessions. In many chronic pain cases acupuncture is used in combination with drugs and it is important that your usual vet is aware of your pet's complementary treatment.
